Inspired by the hussle and bustle of a market place, different individuals meeting for for various reasons all in one space aka "a square or rectangle in this case. There are two boarders on this piece, the white boarder has been applied using a palette knife to create a textured effect and the thinner boasrder is acrylic paint applied using a brush.
